Jalen travels to Nicaragua!

This summer, senior Heritage student Jalen Wise went to Nicaragua as a Heckscher Scholar. Jalen went through a program called Global Glimpse. He spent two weeks doing community action projects such as working to renovate a school, offer English tutoring for students who wanted to learn, and gathering donations including books for the school library. He also had the opportunity to listen to a range of speakers. Jalen loved being able to learn about the culture and food, saying he enjoyed gallo pinto every day. Way to go, Jalen!
